QE Moscow on 22nd September 2011
It
was four years ago in 2007 that QE held its second mission to Moscow. The
decision to return was popular, especially with agents. Noteworthy was the
speed at which appointment schedules were filled up and that several agents
were disappointed to have none.
There
were 16 schools and 33 agencies on the day, some with two representatives.
Comment
To
resolve the problem of having many more agents than schools, we built in a 45
minute slot with no appointments and so time for agents to visit school tables.
It was intended that there would be more actual ‘circulating’ but in the main
schools/agents just added a couple more meetings. Everyone seemed to be fine
with this.
We
had to have two rooms, and split it with UK (10 schools) in one and USA, Canada
and Ireland (6) in the other.
Schools
gave very positive feedback on their meetings, saying that the length of the
appointment (reduced to 20 minutes to incorporate the aforementioned slot) was
fine.
We
probably shouldn’t leave it so long before returning to Russia again and would recommend
going back in two years’ time.

The schools were really interesting because each
one can offer something special, which makes it different from the
others. What is also important is that everyone was busy, but it was not

event in Moscow. The atmosphere was really pleasant and welcoming. All school
representatives were helpful and did their best to answer all questions
concerning their Schools. The only thing that might improved is the duration of
the appointment, 20 minutes turned out to be not enough to discuss all issues.
